UPDATE: They have Battletech! Super nice and amazing staff. While the locale is not huge, this is the prime example that a great game store doesn't need to huge to be great. Has an amazing gaming area and their collection is varied and has quality stuff. If you are looking for VERY niche stuff like Battletech, you might not find that here, but you can find everything else you can think of. Also, they sell those little hotel chocolates called Andes. 10/10 will be back for dice and chocolate.

Game Kastle is the most welcoming place to play games I've ever been to. The staff are friendly and helpful—you can tell how much enthusiasm they have for the games available to buy and play at the store. GK makes a strong effort to offer so many different events, and there's a regular set of events each week that are free to attend. I always look forward to coming here to play. The community is amazing.

Friendly and helpful staff, knowledgeable and never pushy, I can just enjoy quietly exploring everything and approach the staff with any questions. Lots of events to participate in throughout the week and month as well! Really enjoy trying out new games and visiting this store.

Don't let the nondescript strip mall location fool you: This is a warm, welcoming space for diverse gamers to enjoy our hobby. There's always an event happening to foster community, learn new games, and meet new people. I also have to give special praise to Boyd, the owner, for lifting up indie games and local game designers. Yes, you can find your D&D 5e books and MTG packs here. But you can also find zines and games that were playtested by local designers right here in this store, because Game Kastle College Park also hosts a monthly meeting of Break My Game. For me that's the entire reason you go to a bricks-and-mortar store: community and discovering new things you'd never have encountered otherwise. If you love tabletop games, go out of your way to come here.

I love this location so much. Everyone is so welcoming and the people who go there are part of a fantastic community. I recently had an odd experience at a pre-release event but Boyd is incredible and made things right. This is definitely our go to game store and we love coming here every weekend and plan to do so as long as we live here.

So somehow I never actually left a review for game Kastle, despite playing Warhammer there weekly for almost 2 years so here's me rectifying that! This store is amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming staff, great community, great selection of games (they have so many board games), and a very good selection of paints (at least for Warhammer, don't know about non-wargame applications). The fact that it's a bit out of the way for me coming from Bethesda is outweighed by the fact that it's just an amazing game store. If you're interested in any of the games they hold regular events for, please consider going and supporting them.

Awesome place to play card games like Magic the Gathering, meet with friends to play DnD, or play tabletop wargames and skirmish games like 40k, AoS, Conquest, Trench Crusade, or Infinity. I used to drive an hour from Virginia to play here because I enjoyed the store and community so much.

Game Kastle College Park is everything you hope a game store will be. It's locally owned, inclusive, and clearly operated in such a manner that a person who loves games and gamers would ideally envision. I'm very impressed by the selection of games and paints, organization, cleanliness, and spaciousness. It's very welcoming and we will be returning regularly!
